| Our rustic lodge was hand built in the late 1920s out of native Norway red pine and is a historical landmark of the original
Gunflint Trail. The road that runs in front of the lodge was part of the original, unpaved Gunflint Trail. Furnished with antiques and trophy mounts, the lodge includes a unique northwoods
giftshop. |

| Guests
and visitors enjoy shopping for books, handmade
pottery, rustic frames, embroidered sweatshirts
and T-shirts, hats, candles and much more. The
large stone fireplace and the wall of windows overlooking the lake
make the lodge a
comfortable gathering place for guests,
especially on rainy
days. Rockwood
Lodge is one of the few remaining historic log
lodges left in northern Minnesota, come
